Guinevere Jobson has over 16 years of global experience in-house and as an intellectual property litigator and advisor.  As General Counsel in Residence, Guinevere brings her unique in-house perspective to help clients tackle the wide array of legal and business challenges they face, big and small.   She partners with client teams to operationalize complex legal requirements and acts as a sounding board to legal and executive teams, to navigate and balance evolving legal requirements and business realities.  From employee relations issues to collections to bet-the-company litigation, Guinevere leverages her time in-house to deliver practical, actionable advice.  Internally, Guinevere also drives the firm's operational excellence through project and matter management, technology adoption and strategic staffing to deliver seamless service and superior results.  

Prior to joining Tyz Law, Guinevere served as General Counsel of Quantcast, an AI-powered digital advertising technology company where she oversaw all legal functions including privacy compliance and product counseling, intellectual property, employment regulatory affairs, disputes, commercial transactions, international expansion, and legal operations.  

Before going in-house, Guinevere's substantive expertise focused on intellectual property and commercial litigation and counseling, representing clients across technology, Internet, and digital media/entertainment sectors at Fenwick and West.  She also spent a year as visiting attorney with the intellectual property team at Allen & Overy (now A&O Shearman) in the firm’s Paris, France office where she advised on multi-jurisdiction, cross-border IP litigation and video game copyright enforcement programs. 

Guinevere is active in the legal community, supporting women in law and technology through participation in the Women’s General Counsel Network, ChIPs and TechGC.  She holds a J.D. from American University’s Washington College of Law and her BA in History and German from the University of California, Berkeley.   She is fluent in French, proficient in German and in her spare time, can be found reading, cooking and planning international travel.  She currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area.
