Chieh is a highly accomplished litigator with extensive experience in litigating intellectual property and business disputes. Chieh's practice is guided by her values of being thoughtful, meticulous, and bold in all that she does, and leading with accountability and integrity.

Chieh's varied background brings a unique perspective to her practice.  Born and raised in Taiwan, Chieh attended international schools throughout her childhood, which provided her with a global perspective and ability to navigate cross-cultural discourse. Before law school, Chieh was a Legal Analyst at Google for five years, where she assessed content removal requests from around the world regarding intellectual property, privacy, defamation, and national security.  She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law (Order of the Coif), during which she externed for the Honorable David O. Carter in the United States District Court, Central District of California. After law school, Chieh litigated for four years at Fenwick & West LLP.  Chieh's in-house experience, combined with her multi-cultural background and rigorous legal training, allows her to offer strategic and business-savvy solutions to her clients.

Chieh has built a reputation for achieving outstanding results. Some of her notable achievements* include:

• Securing an 8-figure settlement through arbitration for a breach of contract dispute.

• Winning a motion for summary judgment to dismiss a contributory copyright infringement claim against a content platform in the Central District of California.

• Obtaining an order compelling the production of hundreds of documents improperly withheld on the basis of privilege before the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego, which was upheld by both the California Court of Appeal and the California Supreme Court.

• Successfully defending against patent infringement claims in the Northern District of California on behalf of a Fortune 10 client, which was affirmed by the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and obtaining an award of over $6 million in attorneys' fees.

• Obtaining a jury verdict for a pro bono client in the Northern District of California, asserting race and sex discrimination claims against an employer.

• Successfully defending against mass consumer privacy claims related to smart home technologies for a Fortune 10 client.

• Advising on and settling dozens of digital accessibility claims made under both state and federal law.

Outside of litigating, Chieh enjoys the scent of redwood forests, cycling on summer evenings, listening to records while cooking, and exploring design and architecture. Chieh is also a bagel enthusiast and directs that enthusiasm at her favorite bagel shop in the East Bay.
