Chieh’s passion in her work lies in its creative exercise: finding effective solutions for companies offering novel products and services navigate the ever-changing intersection between law and technology.

Chieh represents technology clients across a wide spectrum of litigation matters including commercial, false advertising, privacy, and trademark, copyright, and patent disputes. In recent years, Chieh has successfully defended against mass consumer privacy claims regarding smart home technologies; secured two favorable rulings from the United States Court of Appeal for the Federal Circuit against multiple patent claims and won over $6 million in attorney fees; obtained a jury verdict for a pro bono client asserting race and sex discrimination claims; and advised on and settled dozens of digital accessibility claims made under state and federal law. Chieh has substantive experience through all stages of litigation, from pre-dispute resolution through discovery, dispositive motions, trial, and judgment enforcement. Chieh also has expertise in arbitrations before the American Arbitration Association.

Before joining Tyz Law Group, Chieh was a litigation attorney at Fenwick & West. Chieh received her J.D. with honors from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, during which she externed for the Honorable David O. Carter in the United States District Court, Central District of California. Chieh spent five years preceding law school as a Legal Analyst at Google, reviewing legal removal requests from around the world concerning intellectual property, privacy, defamation, and national security.
