Chieh brings a global and multidisciplinary perspective to her practice. She was born and raised overseas and received an international education before beginning her legal career. Prior to law school, she worked as a Legal Analyst at Google, where she evaluated legal requests involving intellectual property, privacy, defamation, and national security across jurisdictions worldwide.

Chieh earned her J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, graduating Order of the Coif, and externed for the Honorable David O. Carter of the United States District Court for the Central District of California. She later practiced at Fenwick & West LLP, where she litigated sophisticated technology and business disputes.

• Obtaining an order compelling the production of hundreds of documents improperly withheld on the basis of privilege in the Superior Court of California, County of San Diego, which was upheld by both the California Court of Appeal and the California Supreme Court.

• Successfully defending against patent infringement claims in the Northern District of California on behalf of a Fortune 10 client, which was affirmed by the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and obtaining an award of over $6 million in attorneys’ fees.

• Obtaining a jury verdict for a pro bono client in the Northern District of California, asserting race and sex discrimination claims against an employer.
